Join Tara Miller and the International Quilt Museum as we commemorate the life and work of Mary Ghormley on Saturday, August 12.
A self-taught quilter, Ghormley could hardly have known the deep and lasting impact she would have on the world of quilts in those early years when she was teaching quilting in her home. As a founding member of the Lincoln Quilters Guild, an organizer of the Lincoln Quilt Symposium of 1977, a tireless field researcher for the Nebraska Quilt Project, and a devoted volunteer at the International Quilt Museum, Ghormley was the quiet embodiment of enduring Nebraska legacy.
Saturday, Aug. 12 from 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
